HILUX - The meaning of the name

Post by JohanM »

For those of you, that were wondering about the name of Hilux and how Toyota decided on that as the name that replaced the stout, here follows.

The name was derived from "elevated driving experience" and thus the name was founded as Hi-Lux.

So smile at the people driving the other names on the road and remember that we are the better generation that owns the best of the best.....

So when they refer to an "elevated driving experience" are they referring to the fact that I am "elevated" way up into the air every time I hit a bump.. :?:
