Page number options

Post by Tristan »

:? Has anyone noticed how sometimes when you get to the bottom of the page the page numbers have disappeared way off to the right (out of site) :?:

At least a scroll bar appears at the bottom so they are still accessible but I dont understand why they move in the first place

The only reason this will happen is if someone copies and pastes information from another source that is wider than your screen. As far as I know no line breaks etc can be inserted into that copied "something" which then forces the forum software to use the scroll bar method to fit all onto the screen. hth

Tristan

What is your screens resolution set at. Is it at least 1024x768. If it is smaller you will see this often but at 1024x768 or higher it should only happen if someone posts pics from an offsite server that is larger that 800x600 or several pics next too each other in stead of beneath each other, which will force the window size bigger. We do not wan to limit picture sizes too much otherwise it becomes a hassle sometimes if someone needs to load something that is large

Bennie my screen res is at 1024x768
I understand what you are saying about a scroll bar for larger pictures but this usually appears only at the bottom of the actual post :?
So I dont quite understand why sometimes the entire thread is affected.
This thread for example only Cassie's picture has a scroll bar not the entire thread  :? :?

Tristan,

Set your screen resolution to 1280 x 1024.

Otherwise, instead of Firefox Browser, use Opera, which has a setting to fit the page in the available screen area.

Im using Firefox, I assume it is the latest version because I always update when it asks me to :?
It doesn't actually appear to have anything to do with what is posted on the thread.
Maybe it is just a glitch in my system

I will post a pic next time I see it happen just for interest sakes
Maybe it will happen to this thread if it gets to 2 pages....
Now were is Thys to come talk *a* and fill up the thread when you need him to...

I'm with Thys on this one. It could be your browser also interpreting the code incorrectly. As a quick example... open a page with FireFox and open the same page with Internet Explorer (view a topic). Look at the different positions of the New Topic and Post Reply buttons at the bottom of the page in the different browsers...
