The old .303

This year I have loaded the old war horse with Impala's to take it out for a test run in the field in June.

After a couple of loads the old .303 started to agree with 40gr S321 in small stamped PMP cases. The spreed is at 2750ft/s and below is the best group I got at 150m after we tweaked the scope a bit to the right.

Nothing wrong with the old Enfield - those .303 still make good hunting rifles.

Rightfully or wrongly there has been more game shot in Africa with te .303 than anything else. Close contender would be the 7mm Mauser
