Ok,as promised, let's start with bat pack.
Used a strech strap to clamp down, this way it can be easily removed in a camp site.

I've tried to set up the vehicle with one rule in mind,"if you have to remove something to get to another thing, the system is not working!"

The water tank was fitted to the back wall with the tap mounted on the rear bumper, thus gravity fed and no pumps to pack up.

It's a 67 L,biggest problem was to find one with the filler cap on the correct side. Also found a really cool hose with which to fill the tank.

To be continued......... :cooldude:

Next was to fit a table, which could be reached easily.
Fitted it under the fridge slide. Was not keen on the idea of having it under the roof rack, which also meant that mamma would have to clean all the bugs off once the campsite had been reached.

The camp chairs and sleeping bags then get strapped down on the top deck, with the four stretches then slotted next to the fridge.

Ok so what didn't work, fridge cable and need one shelf in the kitchen unit.Got a plan for the cable and will post pics when done.

Hi Neil,

Your set-up looks good and as you say there is always room for improvement. Every time we come back from a trip we make changes.

Where did you purchase that hose from? I am also looking at something of that nature, no rubber thus no taste in the water.

Thanks,

The water tank hose was from a pet shop, used on the aquariums, the water hose was bought at Game, verimark product.

Still need to put the floor board in,which will keep it nice and square.
Added a handle to the table, makes life much easier on cold mornings.

Neil your set up looks great   but I noticed you dont have a dust cover between tailgate & bak
what happens to the dust ingress ,the table that mamma has to use at the camp site does it not get full of dust :?: :?: :naah: :naah: :?:

Charl, strange enough I don't get a lot of dust into the back.I keep the little slide window on the cab side open and it seems to do the trick. You don't want a vacuum to build up in the back.I bought one of those vents from 4x4 Direct which I must still install.

And on that note, the next project starts. Roof console.

Being wanting to build one for a long time, must haves:
1. place for radio
2. storage for maps and books
3. 3 sets of LED lights.

Busy installing a solar panel, also fitting a regulator and will eventually upgrade the whole system to a Ctek, I was at national luna's factory during the week and they recon they will have a new battery power pack out at the end of 2015 which will be solar panel compatible.

Only problem I've had so far is that when I'm ready to test the sun has gone down :frustrated:
At least i can sit this weekend and take readings.
