Speed services or other courier?

Post by cprinsloo »

Hi all,

I need to get a package from Gemini to me here in Nelspruit. I gathered Speed Services can do PO to PO, or can they pick up the package at Gemini and deliver to my PO, or must I rather use one of the other couriers? The PO's website is useless...... (Any reccomendation?)

Thx,

Cheers,

Chris

SpeedServices can do:
- Counter-to-Counter

or

- Counter-to-Door

Typically 24 hours between "major centra", or 48 hours if it is to a smaller place.

Apparently some of the couriers are now cheaper than SpeedServices ON MAJOR ROUTES .... leaving the PostOffice to do the lesser routes ....

email the client the tracking number and they can collect it from the Post Office the next afternoon.

we send more than a 100 packages per year with SpeedServices .... :shock2:

throughout the strike SpeedServices delivered all our packages - different "part" of the Post office. Different trucks etc etc ...

bear in mind, it is the same old crap - a SMALL percentage of the Postoffice goes on strike, every employee gets a bad rep ..... yet the staff we deal with is always most professional - and you dont want to hear what they say about the strikers !!

have to agree, we use fastway to send a snorkel from JHB to CT for cheap cheap....so to nelspruit will be a good price and there service is one of the best we have found at 4x4 Direct. We also use UTI and Time Freight. Speed services is good but can become expensive once you go beyond 1 KG in a prepaid sack.

cheers

See my 1st post .... There are cheaper options, possibly even better options, but at the end SpeedServices is the only one that does every single address in SA !

I don want to check each package and sub it out to different couriers. Thus SpeedServices gets all our business. And for neighbouring countries we use air freight options at the Post Office.
