Ons is besig met 'n nuwe konsep en sal graag julle input wil hoor?
Ons is besig om die ultimate honde te maak, so laat ons bietjie weet wat irriteer julle van julle honne se kamers en ook gaan wagter saam met julle as julle plaas toe gaan of gaan kamp?

Hi Dewald, firstly, my dogs dont irritate me otherwise I would not have them. Secondly when I go to the veld I always take them with, if I sleep over at the river they go with. At places far away they stay at home and some places they are not welcome. Very interesting topic this, waiting to see some more replies.

Sorry meant to add, what do you pay for a decent kennel these days? Or rather what are you willing to pay for a great kennel?

Yes Dewald, I did not take it the wrong way, I was just saying that nothing irritates me about my pets. You will for instance not find a cat in my yard as I totally dislike cats. I built my dogs kennel myself, needless to say they do not sleep in it because they sleep in the house on blankets, I am lucky to be able to leave my back door open at night without worring about people breaking in. Will post a pic tomorrow of the kennel if you want.

In a nutshell, we are busy designing a new k9 kennel for our market and just trying to see what members on this forum would like or change to the kennels available on the market. The one we busy with is unique in many ways but more on this later, we already busy with the prototype and just wanted to get a feeling if we are on the right track, maybe add some last minute changes

LED's, solar panel, deep cycle, DC/AC inverter to run the electric blanket for winter, battery monitor?

Lets start off by saying that we love our dogs. They are like children in our house. You learn to live with the little things, but we always try to take other peoples dislikes in that aspect into consideration.

Our 3 dogs go along whenever we visit either my parents at their home, because it is fully fenced. They also go along to my father-in-law on the farm, because the border terrier is our little hunting dog. They sleep in the room with us in their own beds.

They travel with harnasses attached to a dog safetybelt on the back seat. There is a special waterproof cover over the seat to stop little accidents of staining the seats. But, our dogs are well trained and will lay down and sleep most of the way when we travel.

When they are not able to tag along, we get someone to look after them and our house, because kennels are getting redicilous with their prices.

Ons "Wagters" oppi plaas is ons oe en ore veral snags. Ons winters kan lekker koud wees en die uitdaging is om vir hulle 'n veilige en gerieflike slaapplek te verseker - beskerming teen water (reen en grondvog) en veral koue (dws effektiewe isolasie en moontlik selfs verhitting)
Die kooigoed in die hok is vir ons net so belangrik en dan beskerming teen ongewenste besoekers - soms is skerpioene, slange en selfs die odd ystervark net so lief vir hulle slaapplekke :wth:
