Great job Reinard, what is the weight of the bumper, and thickness of the steel and total cost?

Due to the fact that I used 4.5mm mild steel is is a bit heavy. It is about 25-30kg. The material cost including the cutting and bending could prolly be close to about R3000 I guess. I never did an exact calculation. Normally one would use 2.5 or 3mm mild steel and the material cost would only be about R1500 +-.

25-30kg is not heavy, it's about the same as the limited edition's bullbar. If I remember correctly the ARB & Desert Stormer is 40kg's plus.

I agree 25-30kg doesn't seem very heavy for what you got there
I really like the way you have done the recovery points, looks great :!:

Any nice ideas for the rear bumper?
I am going to remove the side steps and replace them with pipe. They always seem to get in the way.

I am going to build a bumper for my dad's 85 Hilux in about a month. Will keep all the templates for that and see what the total cost on that is.
I'm pretty sure it wil be exactly the same as the 95 Hilux?

Hey everybody, sorry for the people I hav'nt reply to yet. I havn't been on the site for a while.
I will be doing a decent costing of the bumper pretty soon and I will let you guys know what the price to manufacture one of these is.
I might be starting to build bumpers on the side line due to a lot of enquieries from the one I made.

Thanx for the compliments everybody!
