Trip to Riemvasmaak

Post by Rookie60 »

Hi All, I am planning a short trip to Riemvasmaak towards the end of this month....
Is there anything I should know, insofar as what to take with, where to camp and where not, etc.
I drive a '94 Raider d/c - mostly standard, but do have a long-range fuel tank and a 50lt water tank.
Many Thanks,
Rookie60

Seems as though you have everything you need, except keeping the beer cold & the meat fresh. :celebrate: The campsite is close to the hot spring... so a costume, sunscreen, shades & food. Take water as I do not recall how good the drinking water was. You can tap electricity from the office lapa if you have a fridge or need a light after dark.

Thanks Haboob,
I will take extra water and I now have an 80ltr fridge/freezer to keep the beer and a little meat cold:)
Are any of the trails very serious or can one do them all?

Watch where you step, in '86 during basics a lot of mortar shells just bounced and we left them lying there.
