Snorkel on 2002 Pajero V6

My uncle was considering fitting one of Pieter's snorkels to his 2002 Pajero V6, but is now in doubt. Apparently, the air intake for the Pajero is somewhere in the front, and not on the side as with the Hiluxes, so it seems a lot of work will need to be done in order to connect the snorkel. Has anyone else done this, and how? Should he rather have it done by someone, and are there people in Pretoria who won't mind fitting a snorkel not bought at their store?

I know some of the imported Pajeros had an intake that was part of the bonnet, but that was for the airflow over the intercooler (diesel). So they way one would tell is the one with the scoop (as per the Colt bakkie) was the normal model, and the one without was the import.

Does the pajero have an airbox (where the air filter is fitted into)? Follow the pipes from it - one should go to the intake on the engine, and the other shoule go to the fender (or as you say the front of the engine bay).

That is the only way to make sure. If you post a photo of the full engine bay, we can also take a look and try to help that way?
