I got hold of these foldable sand tracks called Grip n Go
Made from durable HDPE plastic and tested to take 4 tons (or was it 4.5 tons, cannot remember, lets play it safe and say 4 tons). The steel pin is EN8 steel
Comes in a set of two
Total length extended: 1130mm
Folded dimensions:
L = 390mm
W = 220mm
H = 110mm
Weight = about 3.1 Kg
It sells for R950.00 per set at www.4x4direct.co.za
I know the first argument will be that you cannot use it as bridge, but I like the fact that they do not take up much space.

That was also my first impressionThat is a brilliant design.
If my bag lady can keep up with the workload I am going to see if she can also make me some bags for it.

I think it is cheaper to lower tyre pressure.
Just because it says "4WD" doesn't make it an off-road vehicle.

Have you tried them yet?
Cause they are FAR less expensive than the MAXTRAX so might be a good solution...
