Botswana - Zimbabwe - Namibia December 2011 Trip

Post by WayneSchalk »

So we took a trip up to Botswana - Zimbabwe - Namibia.

Camped the 1rst night at Woodlands stop over, where Neil (thunder02) and Kennith by coincidence. Leker gekuier. From there up to Nata for 2 nights.

On the second day we were joined by my father and his wife and her daughter, and Neil and Kennith also arrived. From there we left via Panamatenga to Robin Camp in Hwange, what a disappointment! I expected the place to be run down, but 1 night cost 5 people $170 USD!!!

From there we moved on to Mlibizi on Lake Kariba, very vrendly and priced right R35.00 per person and $8 USD for a power point per day. A raft cost R450 and $2 USD per liter petrol.

But the fun was stoped by the Zim parks board. the day trip on Lake Kariba cost $60 USD for park fees!! Crazy

From there we left for Vic Falls, again the price was fair R160.00 per person.

From there we left ZIM via Kazungula and we camped at Toro Safari Lodge, our trip was cut short by a spider bite, we decided to leave for SA so we never got to Namibia this time.

All round it was a very nice trip and I especially enjoyed meeting up with Neil and Kennith, great fun

One of your SD cards got corrupted somehow so we lost some of the pics, I uploaded the rest to http://www.facebook.com/NatureboyTrading" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I will resize some more and upload it to the thread.
