Good whisky on the rocks.

Even iced water is fine .... otherwise:
A Irish whiskey (Jameson's or Tullamore Dew) on the rocks,
A rum or brandy - coke
rum and ginger beer for something more refreshing.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Traditionally rum is added to tea and whiskey to coffee ..... actually tastes better in both cases.

Never knew that! Not much of a whiskey drinker, except for the odd Southern Comfort, but I do enjoy a cup of tea every now & then....will give it a try

Cappies goes well with everything actually...apparently one can use an OOOOMS spade with Captain Morgan to cook meat in the open fire. They did it at the Kingley Holsgate launch @ Leseding village earlier this year. According to the wife it is finger licking good

i usually take a bottle of brandy in a plastic measuring bottle that wont break. Coke is pretty much available anywhere, so if we have it we have brandy and coke. When setting up camp in the evening, there is nothing that quenches a thirst better than a beer shandy. Beers I always take in cans, not because of the breakage factor, but because the crushed cans take up less space when we have to take empties along.

I found that Coke and Sprite (dont know about other fizzy drinks) does not travel well any more. They go flat after 200km of corrugated roads, even if the seal on the bottle is unbroken!! So we dont transport huge amounts of the stuff any more, we buy as we need, and as it is available. And I only by 1 litre bottles at a time, unless I know we are enough people to finish a 2l in one evening.

Castle Lites in any weather, preferably cold. I like them cos they also have water and CupCake can't complain I'm not drinking water. In fact busy with a project to fill up one jerry can with them Lites and have a drip into the driver side arm. Jerry can will be roof-mount - also can't be charged for drinking and driving :laugh2: :laugh2: :mocking:
