How to recalibrate KZTE fuel gauge?

How to recalibrate KZTE fuel gauge?
I have recently fitted new leaf springs (Mikem) to my KZ, and now find that the fuel gauge never reads full! SO much so that (if using refills as a guide) it is about 1/4 tank out! Can one set this on the cluster or does the sender (and the whole tank) have to come out?
