Hi - driving two hilux surfs from UK to SA
Hi all, thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm Andy, my wife and myself are driving a hilux surf from the UK to Cape Town. We have a team of 20 or so friends joining us for a month at a time to drive a second one along side us. I'm a member at hiluxsurf.co.uk too, registered as adpsimpson there.
Our trucks are both 1993 3.0 TD Japanese spec trucks, and have held up pretty well.
We're in Zambia just now, about to head towards Victoria Falls and then on via Botswana and Namibia to Cape Town. Anyone know any good places to stay/things to do on that route?

From one Andy to another .... great to have you aboard! Look forward to all the anecdotes and pictures!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Hey all, thanks for the replies - talk about a warm welcome!
We have a lot of pictures, a travel log and some musings on our blog, http://www.surfingafrica.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - feel free to have a look.
We'll be in SA at the start of July, and CT by about 10/7. In Swakupmond now - it's bloody freezing! Does it get warmer again?! Sandboarding tomorrow :)

Swakopmund is normally a very warm place (except for the nights) ..... but you are there in the middle of our winter along with an unusual cold spell. Enjoy it while you're there .... and the sandboarding of course!
