As our first planning session for AAWDC 2011, Team Hilux4x4 is having a planning session (practice session) at Hennops; on the R511 to Hartbeestpoort north of Diepsloot.

This is an open invitation to attend and all Club and Forum members are welcome.

Off course we will kick of the day by driving the trail and then have a braai and brainstorm after the trail.

Let's meet on site on at 08h00, to start at 08h30.

That is not the right Hennops Pride. There are camping facilities and oblutions, swimming pool and recreational facilities for the kids as well. They charge p/p and separate for the 4x4 track as most people just go for the day and rent tubes to go down the river and braai.

So dit is Hennops Eco Trail en nie Hennops Pride nie (soos ek verstaan is Hennops Pride die een suid van Hennops Eco Trail)

Mark, we have chosen this one as it is easiest to use for a meeting and it is shorter.

That is right.

we wanted a shorter route with sufficient facility so that we can braai and discuss some details for AAWDC.

VERY important the day is voluntary not compulsory.

How it works

Booking is not essential but you are welcome to use our online booking service.

Gates open at 8:30 and close strictly at 17:00.

The trail is a self drive trail that is about 9km long and takes about 2-3 hours to complete, depending on how busy it is.

Entrance fee is R180 per vehicle which includes 4 persons, additional visitors will be charged R45 per adult and R20 for children under the age of 12. Unfortunately we do not have any credit card facilities available and due to fraud cheques are not accepted.
Starting off

The trail has a 2 (low-range required but suitable for first timers) – 4 (technical trail for the experienced) grading. The layout of the trail is in such a way that you will be able to take a detour should you wish to avoid an obstacle.

Please ensure that your vehicles hubs are locked if they are not automatically locked. We recommend deflating your tyres to 1 bar or as indicated by your 4wd training instructor. Unfortunately we don’t have air available to inflate your tyres so you should either bring a compressor or go to the petrol garage which is about 4km from the entrance gate.

On the trail you will find axle twisters, rocky climbs, declines, dongas and mud-holes. We do need to leave something for the imagination so let’s not elaborate more on the obstacles.

You can expect to see herds of Zebra, Blou Wildebeest, Blesbok and Impala together with a wide variety of bird life and smaller animals along the trail. Also look out for the Zonkies.

Dagse manne en maninne,

Ons gaan dit ongelukkig nie Saterdag meer kan maak nie,ek moet werk.Ek het probeer dit vermy,maar die tyd tel ongelukkig teen my.

Ek sal inval met die reelings julle ook op besluit vir die event.
