The Queenstown 4x4 Off-Road Club
Hello.........................................................................
This is your invitation to our next 4x4 trail, we will be visiting a trail that we have not been to for a long time, it is called The Baboon 4x4 Trail, which is outside Queenstown along The JHB main road next to The Municipal Game Farm +- 3km out of town, look out for a pink coloured flag on your right, turn right and then right again, close the gate behind you. There are wild Blesbuck in this area.
Date: 11th August 2007 which is a Saterday.
Time: 14h00 which is 2pm we will meet at the pink flag at the gate on the farm.
Because we have not been to this trail for so long, maybe some tree thorntree branches must be cut back, thus please bring your cutters. This event is open to 4x4 vehicle's with low range and also Quad bikes, but the riders of the Quads must wear helmets and closed shoes. If you are not a club member, you will have to fill out and sign an Indemnity Form, There will be an entry fee of R20. per 4x4 or Quad. The trail is not too long, but has some nice steep sections.
There will be a bring & braai afterwards on the farm Eersterust nearby, thus as you leave this farm to go onto the main tar road, you must turn right, go up the road for 2km, turn right at Mc Donalds Farm
(old kens power), drive up the tar road until you see a yellow sign LEYLAND on your right, turn right close the gate behind you and follow the road until you come to the braai area, please park nicely so that other people can also park.
We will have a gen set for lights, please note that there are no toilets, thus bring your spade and toilet paper along, but we do have a plastic crate with a toilet seat fastened, that you can take with you into a secluded area and do your thing.
Thus if you are looking for a fun filled day of 4x4ing, meeting new people and your fellow club members, please make an effort to join us on this day, bring your friends, family along as well.
Please contact me on my cell 082 499 1924 or by email to bigballs@vodamail.co.za to confirm.
Thankyou

Re: The Queenstown 4x4 Off-Road Club next Trail Invitation
Went on a drive today to check out the trail and this is wht we saw.
Photo's angles are deceiving, not many vehicles will get up this section of this trail, the vehicle will have to be a Hilux and must have at least one locker, Hey Andries come show us how it is done with your Hilux
