Hi

I'm looking for the beste paper maps of Lesotho. Any advice please? I'll use T4A but need paper back-up.

I want to know how hard it is to drive from Maseru right across Lesotho to Sani. And I want to drive from Sani to Khatse-dam after that.

Ali,

So maak seker jy weet waarheen jy wil gaan.

As jy wil kan jy vir my jou details epos wat jy beplan dan help ek graag.

Johan (or anyone else who is keen to answer)

I hope you're still around.

My plans have changed but I would like to ask your opinion on them. Now I'm going form Sani's side into Lesotho, to Katse Dam first.

I was thinking to drive from Katse Dam over Mapholaneng straight to point B4 on the info map, and turn left there towards Katse.

I was thinking of sleeping over at Lejone.

Then I was thinking of driving south towards Sehlabathebe (over Thaba-Tseka, Sehongong, Matebeng Pass) and out through Ramtseliso or Qacha's Nek).

Another vague route I was considering was to vaguely drive south-west from Katse, and head for Ongeluksnek or Tele Bridge, but it looks a bit complicated and I'm on my own. If you think it is a better experience to go that way, please let me know, and how I should drive. I'm on my own with kids though, and cannot do extreme passes.

Just a few questions: How's the track between B4 and Lejone?
How is the campsite of the Bokong National Park at Lejone?
How is Matebeng Pass?

I'll be driving through Sani on the 1st of January. Anybody is very welcome to join.

Cheers!

Ali

Ali, I'd love to have joined, however at that time we are returning from Swazi.

I've never driven Lesotho during summer, but have always done it during winter hoping for some snow.

Sani was during our most recent trip the easiest ever, the road conditions on average was very good. Clearly there was some money to grade and cut the roads. But you'll have to see how it is now after rains.

Ali,

Sal jou laat weet!!!!

Baie dankie Johan. Jy weet nie hoeveel dit my help nie.
