Vigo Body lifts
Who in Gauteng will be able to do a job like this??
http://www.vehiclemods.net.au/forum/vie ... ?f=26&t=34" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'll need to off course consider lifting the bumper in front? Will leave rock sliders where they are, they have to still protect the body.

Re: Vigo Body lifts
I don't get it what is the purpose of a body lift other than looks? The chassis still stay at the same level so no height increase.
For me its just to riscky you increase you c.o.c considerbly and then your stuck can't go and do heavy 4x4ing.
Or am I missing something here?

Re: Vigo Body lifts
If you lift the body, you can fit larger tyres. Larger tyres can increase your distance from the ground from centre hub resulting in more ground clearance.
All these SFA's with their 35's have had some sort of lift, and they go very extreme.
You do not increase COG that much with a 40mm lift. The heaviest part of your vehicle still remains at the same level.

Heinrich, there's a guy in Potch who can do it, but I heard last week he want R6000 to do a lift. That is crazy. Why not ask Louis 4x4MW?
If you have a body lift, you also increase your vehicles approach and departure angles, A.J.

Re: Vigo Body lifts

Re: Vigo Body lifts

Daai knaap is bietjie overstressed as jy my vra, of teminste baie naby, nader as enige Toy engine, al is hy sleg gechip
Re: Vigo Body lifts
Jy weet mos Toy's is underspecked, dis hoekom hulle langer en beter hou

Re: Vigo Body lifts
Ek wil nie groter as 33"s opsit nie.
Jy is reg Mark. Hulle werk omtrent 25% binne hulle design spec.

Re: Vigo Body lifts

Re: Vigo Body lifts
HI guys I did the body lift on my 3.0 Myself over a week end it realy is not such a big job and yes you do loose a bit of power with the 33" tyres but it is worth it But I agree with Mark i dont think its going to be a plesure on the 2.5 I have also fitted larger tyres on my 2.5 single cab and it is battling

Re: Vigo Body lifts
I have the 32" on and it is dead so to speak. Has anybody changed turbo's or increased boost on the 2.5? Not sure what the long term implications would be...
Re: Vigo Body lifts
I have not increased boost on the turbo, but very easy :!:
Chip dastek and fitted a 2.5 Mzda inter cooler, now 99kw

Re: Vigo Body lifts
I want to fit an intercooler.
I've now had 265/75's on for about 3 weeks, and I do feel the affect at highway speeds, but below 100km/h the impact is almost not noticeable.

Heinric.
Doen daai body lift self - dis 'n Saterdag se werk.

:wth:Uys wrote:Heinric.
