I went out to the rendezvous yesterday morning to meet the manne and have a coffee or 2 with them before I had to be on my merry way. Last I saw was Louis, Jaco Turbo and Herman disappearing over the hill in a cloud of dust, and then Ismail setting off after them.

How'zabout a feedback report? Maybe a few pictures?

Was this a 'time trial' event? ... ecologically friendly though, I'm sure :D:

Yeah, I'm also looking in here every now and then for the report and pics, but for now the pic of the 'red landy' that looks purple to match the fynbos blossoms is amusing enough ... (see below)

Heelwat ooh-aah's is gehoor.

Groete.

Ismail, then it was a good thing that I turned around to go thru Durbanville in stead of hanging a left to the N1! I remembered that I had to buy a braai grid from the Kooperasie...

Thank you to everybody for a lekka day

It is an excellent route with enough to keep driver and passengers busy the whole time.

Again my respect for the SFA Hilux just got bigger. The Lux you see on the pics is an 87 2.2 stock standard with road tyres.I got her on Wednesday and only had time to take of the bullbar, rear bumper and fit new seats in place of the standard bench seat. She trotted over the rocks and through the dongas with no hassle at all.

We will defnately organise an outing in the near future.Mid July?

Very Nice guys!  Looks like that trail is a little challenging in places, but that just adds to the overall experience. Spectacular views as well .... Eish! I shouldn't look at stuff like this! Just makes me more frustrated ... but ... Really happy for you guys though, on what looks like a memorable experience.
