Hello,
Does anybody know what is better a Surf or Prado?
Usage would be in the mountainous area of Pakistan. Don't have to use 4x4 too often but is good to have it once in a while situation arises.
Looking at used vehicles that are not more than 10 years old.
Any suggestions? Things to consider?
Are auto boxes not very good for climbing and descending steep slopes/ mountains. True?
Do Auto gearboxes (transmissions) break down more often?
Would appreciate your help,

Hey Faraz
Take the Prado no contest, do not under estimate the surf but I will take the Prado every time.

Thanks for your reply.
Any particular reason for your strong preference towards Prado?
More reliable than Toyota Surf?

Faraz,
Did you buy any one of the 2 vehicles
I bought a 1999/2000 2,7L Surf with the auto gearbox for my son recently; I'm enjoying it so much that I'm thinking of giving him my SFA in order to keep the Surf for myself It is in good condition and has done only 132 000km
I haven't really tried its 4x4 capabilities but intend doing that soon
I still need to find a copy of the Owner's Manual somewhere :wth:
Is the SURF and/or Forerunner an earlier version/predecessor of the present-day Fortuner
