For those of you who don't know we take some of the less fortunate high school children out for a day to experience what we so often enjoy

So we are looking for manne with bakkies who will go with us. Our last trip was 15 vehicles. What a fantastic site to see the convoy

The Plan:
Where: Atlantis dunes
When: 01 May
Time: Very early pickup (time to be confirmed)
Rendezvous point: To be confirmed(Probably somewhere in Stellenbosch to collect the children).
Lunch: We will braai for lunch and return around 15h00
:!: We need someone who knows the dunes wel who can take us to all the lekker spots. :!:

What you need:
The idea is to be a blessing so-
Your own petrol and entrance permit(they were R100 the last time I went)
Snacks for everyone in your vehicle
Drinks for everyone in your vehicle
Two way radio - 29Mhz(we will rent some for those that dont have +- R250 for the day)

If possible we would like every vehicle to take between three and four children to allow us to take as many as possible. We try and raise sponsors for lunch for everyone and I will keep you up to date with the progress.

Hi Gents

Some arrangements:

We will be taking the children from the School of Hope on our trip. There's a total of 70 children but we will take as many as we have space for.
Rendezvous: His People Church (N1 City) parking lot 07h30
To Bring:
- Could those of you that have skottels please bring them with to prepare the wors and souse on.
- Own recovery equipment
- Glasses, plates, tomato (other souses), cutlery, etc...
- Gazebos?
- Games = Volley ball, Cricket etc...

Just got off the phone with Jo from J & B electronicks and they will sponsor 10 VHF two way radios for us for the day

Marius se 4x4 is verkoop en hy sit tans sonder bakkie. Hy het wel 'n ander een gekoop en wag vir aflewering (BODY SHOP TOE VIR MOOI MAAK) en bid dat dit voor 1 Mei sal wees.

I just need to address a question that was asked:

I don't mind people driving through on the day, cannot stop you

One thing I must make clear though is that if you are just joining us on the day we will not be able to provide you with lunch, radio, etc. It's about the children and the difference we can make in their lives, it's really not about us! (Although we benefited being out there :D ).

I obviously prefer you being able to take children with, instead of going on your own. You can even confirm latest Thursday, then we can still make a plan for more children to go.

If you are taking other people with (like your children or a co-driver):
1. I'd like you to reconcider so that we can take as many children as possible.
2. Let me know what number of children you can take!
3. You'll have to cater for the ekstra people you take for lunch please.

The 'Be a Blessing' days have always been open to people from all walks of life... in fact at the last one some Muslim 4x4 junkies joined in as well to 'Be a Blessing'... Like Shaun said... it doesn't matter which book you read!

It's about giving these children something that will literally transform the way they look at life. What I do, is link these children with people that are reaching out to them through our church so that there are relationships that will benefit from this in the long run. That my God is part of this is also obvious and go’s without saying. Do I want you to come along, absolutely :!: This is not a church function and is open to anyone :!: :!: :!:

The point for me is not what my believes are or lack of them, but that a person has the temerity to tell me that I will not be welcome because according to him, he’s one of the organisers and I’m not a christian, I guess simply of his professed dislike in me! I would run a mile to disassociate myself with someone as hypocritical as that. And that’s what I’m doing.

Well done guys Sorry i could not chat as i was only testing my Pipe Car out for the Albertinia challenge. You guys should be proud . That Lada impressed me. I would of loved to take some of the kids for a ride but i only had one seat belt in my vehicle. Safety comes first.

That long dune (ek dink perdeskoen) was golal kwaai, veral as 'n ou nog leer sand ry. Verkeerde rat probeer, maar toe ek die ratte reg kry toe vlieg die 2.7 teen hom uit.

Praat jy! Toe ek daar af ry, het ek nooit gedink ek sou weer daar kan op nie! Nou nie met so veel "finesse" as die cruiser nie, maar Roy het hom wel ge-tackle!!
