OK, I am not a fisherman at all, I've got a fishing rod, tried it twice but I think the fish do not like me, they never come out.
But for those Capies who would like to come fishing in Langebaan, there is a giy who are writing the most interesting fishing tips on my West Coast blog.

Ek vang ook nie vis nie, koop dit sommer in bokse.
Maar is besig om my 1ste trippie vir visvang ooit langs die groot blou water te beplan. Inhambane se kant toe.

Heinrich, meeste visse langs die walle in Moz is gestroop deur die locals. Gaan eerder uit op 'n bootjie, paddle-ski, jet-ski

I wish I lived in langebaan
Would have dined on stumpnose most nights.
Would have been up there today, if not for the boy's mini-cricket this morn.
But I fear the lagoon as been overexploited by shore and boat anglers alike,
For the past few season she has not produced as I know she can.
I think its time DEAT closes her for a season or two to recover, or really start to police the guys taking home the stumps by the bag full
Nice kingie there OOODS.
Wish we had them down here in the cape.
Looks like a nice fighting fish that one

The only fish I have ever caught in my life was as a youngster of about five and it was perhaps even smaller than the one shown by Hennie. The people I was with said it was too small and threw it back into the river. You don't do this to a five-year old. I resolved never to go fishing again if people were going to do that to my catch.
True to my word, I've never been fishing since...
