Anybody ever hear of the song "Fanagalo", by the Three Petersen brothers? Who has heard of Eve Boswell - Picking a Chicken, or Virginia Lee - Ek Sal Jou Nooit Vergeet Nie? What about The Loud, The Rising Sons, The Dealians, The Bats? A group called "Naked", performing a song of the same name. Who has heard Steve Kekana sing "The Bushman"? I sent this last song to an American Radio Station, and they raved about it! ;)

I bought tickets to see him here in Klerkies some years ago... the show was supposed to start at 7PM but when he still had not pitched by 9PM, I gave it up as a bad job and came home. That was very naughty of him and I'm still waiting for his personal apology.

Dis ek en mamma se geselstyd... ons sien mekaar so min deur die jaar dat ons met vakansie moet gaan om met mekaar te gesels oor die dinge wat saakmaak. Gelukkig is ou Kaspaas 'n baie raserige bakkie, en gesels hy lustig saam so die gesels hou lekker lank..

Verder draai ek maar die "tune" knop maar op enige (verstaanbare) radiostasie wat ek kan opvang daar waar daar niks is nie, en mamma dalk 'n uiltjie knip.... Ek het 'n MP3 FM-modulator met 'n 4Gb memory stick en 'n 2Gb MP3 player in die glove-box, maar die het ons nog nooit gebruik nie...

Dankie vir al julle inligting...het nie gevra hoeveel cd's julle het nie, wou net weet wat tans in jou ryding is....nou weet ek meer as wat ek wou weet....hahahahaha

Oi! They have some BRILLIANT stuff! Their CD "Actually" is one of my favs, then I have their latest one "YES" as well. Don't knock 'em, forget their ridiculous name and just listen to da music!


I actually have an extremely wide taste in music, from mid 50's (Pat Boone - Bernadine, April Love, Love Letters in the Sand, Don't Forbid Me...etc. Pat Boone was second only to Elvis in overall album sales at the time.) to today's Lady Ga Ga etc.

Depeche Mode are still around, released a new album last year and busy touring the world, had a few songs on the American and Brirtish charts. One of my favourite bands of all time.

Tears for Fears put out a brilliant few albums! I was in fact listening to Woman in Chains this morning.

The only Procol Harum song I know is Whiter Shade of Pale but that was a bit before Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears wasn't it?

dan gaan my smaak van "Stoutgat treffers" tot Afrikaanse musiek en van die ouer goed, hou nogal van Queen en Pink Floyd maar het nie van hul hul musiek nie. Was self vir 12 jaar in na-skoolse onderwys, tog is "another brick in the wall" my gunsteling. :)


Platkar:
Dit was my ma se motor, nou my daaglikse vervoer. Toe sy oorlede is was daar n CD van Juanita in - nog steeds in die CD speler. As ek die dag verlang dan sit ek dit aan, dan is daar n paar van die liedere (veral daai een van "ek is nou in die hemel") wat my snot en trane laat huil. 8,5 maande en ek MIS haar !

Ek's ook maar 'n rock/alternative ou...maar luister ook Afrikaanse musiek (baie kieskeurig, vir die image jy weet... ) Rina Hugo , Johan Stemmet ens baie uncool

Radio is tans op Jakaranda FM, dit is die minste irriterende stasie.
