Once more thank you to the Hilux Club for the well wishes and support, it is much appreciated and as a community it goes to a worthy cause we can all be proud of

Just as an insight; after halfway the body starts to take strain and the kilometeres come slower, it becomes a matter of mind over matter. I had a lovely run I must admit, nicely focused, but after 80km exhaustion caught up. No new unknown blister spots, no cramps, no pains - just exhaustion (this means adding more mileage for next year, mix with a bit of strength training for the legs, hope the maintain bike will also help), the rest of the month I'll be taking it easy, recovering . The blister got popped on Monday and today pulled the nail out. On the body I find the up runs to be more forgiving than the downs.

Once more thank you for the support Last but not least thank you to CupCake for motivating and cheering on the roadside, driving, and getting up at 02:00 hrs to head out to Pietermaritzburg for the start.
