George 4x4 Fun day 28-11-2009

This will be a family orientated event, consisting off;
» Xtreme class vehicles ( modifieds etc),
» Modified & standard vehicles, and
» 2 wheel drive pipe cars & buggies competing in a dedicated obsticale track, aswell as
» Standard vehicles participating in a FUN EVENT ( no vehicle breakers)

Camping availible on site, B&B at :
The places I decided on is closest to the venue, ± 15km from Klynefontein ( farm on the Geelhoutboom road). The venue is midway between George and Great Brak River, but on a 10km gravel road close to the airport / Fancourt. Close to the foot of the Outeniqua mountians. Beautifull views from the events lapa, upto Mossel Bay.

This is the places that I went and checked out for you.

Alpine Inn send me this mail, the pics is of the inside of the s/c lodges, opp. Fancourt golf course. Will give 10% discount if your whole group books.
"R 500,- 1 person, R 100,- each person plus sharing (1 queen, 2 single bed)

Our two bedroom luxury units are stylishly furnished and decorated with beautiful murals, fully equipped with TV, DVD-sound system, fan, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. These units have their own terraces. Access is private, with off-road parking a very short distance from your accommodation.(Max. 4 people)" Thus R800 for 4 persons a night.



"R 700,- 1 person, R 100,- each person plus sharing (1 queen size bed, 1 queen sleeper couch in lounge, 2 single bed) Our Honeymoon suite is very spacious and especially romantically decorated and furnished. It is a luxurious self-catering unit, fully equipped with TV, DVD-sound system, fan, fridge, microwave and a full stove. From the huge terrace you have a stunning view of the mountains, and in the evening you can enjoy a sundowners or a braai (using the built-in Jetmaster). Parking is off-road, close to your accommodation. (Max. 6 people). Thus R1,200 for 4 pax a night. Very nice and if you want something interesting ;

Windymere cottages, closer to the venue (±13km), better on the budget perhaps, as you can sleep 6 persons for R600, or R200 pppn in the smaller cotages. These ladies will give you a better price if they know how many is coming along and how they can do the sleeping arrangements ;

Place futher away (±25km), but with sea views. Wasn't there, but believe it is also a nice place to overnight. From R350 pppn upto R900 for 4 pax;

Remember that camping is also provided at the venue at R50/tent. Genarator powered during day ablutions with gas heating.
