Playgrounds

Did a search  but couldn't find  a list of spots in and around Cape Town where you can "play" a bit. Abandoned fields, parks etc...

Any suggestions?

Shaun, there's very few(if any) places to play where you don't have to pay!

A nice option to test your vehicles capabilities is Dirt and Dust out the back of Durbanville, I think they charge R100 for the day... so decent obstacles to test you and your lux!

There aren't any left really. Most of the places are either built up or in the process of being developed or are spiked by the locals to keep the quads and 4x4's away, or it is private property and you will have some Metro Cop with an unmarked Ford Meteor on your ass. The only real play areas around CT will have to be:

Atlantis Dunes (Sand only)
Melkbos4x4 (Be prepared for Rust lurking in the mud)
Dirt&Dust

Otherwise you have to go on trails....

Coenie and I will be going to Atlantis again soon, if you are interested in coming along..
