100% Incline at Gerotek - or 45 Degree incline

Hi All,

I am arranging a trip to Gerotek and tailor made for 10 cars only. The costs are very high, so before you commit, please ensure that not only can you afford it, but it is really worth your while.

It is a ramp at an angle of 45 degrees or what they call the 100% incline. This ramp is where they test the army vehicles and previuosly the old Gelandewagens from Mercedes used to conquer this ramp. There is also a full trip/course through and I will post the itenary as soon as it is fixed.

Costs will be R850 / car and R250 p passenger - to cover for the lunch. If you are a member of the Cruiser club, check out the same topic with the reports there. I am posting it here and on the Mpumalanga section. Interested so far is Jonathan, Hennie and Albert Jackson - so there are 7 spots left. I plan on doing it somewhere in August and once enough interest, will finalise all the finer detail.

Hi Nick,
Hierdie gaan nie 'n kursus wees nie, maar meer 'n geslote "event" met spesiale toestemming om die baan (100% incline), wat normaal vir publiek en kursusse gesluit is, te kan gebruik. Daar is ook ander bane wat gery sal word, maar dit sal nog steeds goed wees as jy 'n paar fotos kan plaas. Miskien kan Eric (FD) dalk vir ons 'n paar fotos van LCCSA in trek.

sounds good, i saw the photos on the lan website, serious, I will speak to swambo, dates will be important as work. Will standard lux do the hill?

No prob - you will have to do it in Low Range anyway. Suppose 1st in LR will be only option.
