I think you need a holiday Darryl, if your head gasket is blown.

If your trucks gasket is blown , well then, have you had a combustion test on the frod yet?
I assume by done everything, you mean youve checked thermostat, leaking pipes, radiator cap etc etc?

If all pressure and combustion testing didnt show anything then unless there is a blockage in the radiator, I fear you might have a blown gasket.

Darryl

I had the more or less the same problem on my 4y. Used like you said in another thread Barsleaks (worked for a month). Checked the radiator at Silverton - 6 microscopic holes in core
New radiator R1395-00. No water in oil. Took of the head and surprise surprise HEADGASKET BLOWN. . Changed the H/G 3 weeks ago . No heating problems since then.

Why the "odd" sizes? Go 350 chevy en klaar... Spare parts are so plentiful the shops practically pay you to take it off their hands, and bolt-on go-faster bits are a dime a dozen. Also, the block size of the 327 and the 350 are exactly the same, so it's going to take the same effort to convert to a 327 as what its going to be for a 350... Them's tried and trusted bullet proof motors with yonks of history behind them mate
