Good morning Hiluxers
I am in the process of refitting the original motor in my 4y sfa after years of the Chinese replacement.
The question I have, could someone please check something for me?
On the left side of the cylinder head at the front and below the radiator pipe, there is a vacuum switch.
The Chinese motor used this but the original has a second threaded hole and I cannot for the life of me remember what went there.
Pretty sure it's just a blanking plug but want to make sure. Of course I'm not sure of a size either as it doesn't seem to be tapered like the switches are. Could be M15x1.5?
Check the picture out.
Thanks in advance

Welcome back Scott, long time no see!
Not sure if this will help you, since going EFI I no longer have a carb so can't check my setup.

Re: Blanking plug or switch
Thanks FD, yes been a while. I don't get much pc time anymore so can't sit on the forums.
Thanks for the pic, I have checked my manual and the online epc and seems in the absence of finding any other switch for that hole it has to just be a blanking screw.
Most definitely bigger in size than the vacuum switch next to it, I will have to get a few of different sizes and try them.
