D4D T-Belt light reset, the correct way;
The way on this topic; viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16006" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ; doesn't work.
You've replaced the belt with the corect long life belt, but the T-Belt light stays on
The T-Belt light will come on just past 150 000 km, whether you replaced the belt or not :problem:
There is no sensor, the light is activated by a timer in the cluster :o
This is the correct way
1. Switch ignition on and select "odo"
2. Switch ign. off
3. Press selector and hold for 5 seconds, don't let go
4. Switch ign. on and hold for another 10 seconds
5. Release selector and press once, number 15 will apear
6. Press selector 15 times up to number 15
7. Press and hold selector untill odo re-apears, let go
8. Start vehicle, T-belt light is off :)

Dylan, your procedure isnt entirely right
Make sure your ODO is displaying and not trip meter A or B
Press reset button with Ignition off and hold it
Turn on ignition and start the engine while still holding button in, hold for at least 5 seconds and release,
DO NOT TURN IGNITION OFF
Press reset button again and a "1" should appear on the screen
If you press again a 2 will appear
I left mine on 2 as I assume this is for the second timing belt
Then press and hold the button in until the light goes off
VOILA!!!

Re: D4D T-Belt light reset, the correct way;
Ek gaan myne more toets. Goldilocks was verlede Woensdag in vir haar 150K diens. Timing belt is geruil op 149600. Hierdie naweek op pad terug van Volksrust af, het die liggie aangekom op presies 150000km lesing. Sal more aand probeer. Dankie vir did raad. Is dit die manier waarop die dealers dit doen?

Mikie your desription work 100%. I've the cambelt at 150911km and now 60000km later the light came on again at 210911km can there be something wrong on the cambelt or do you think I didnot reset the light correctly the last time?
I will appreciate your opinion, thanks

Re: D4D T-Belt light reset, the correct way;
How I think this works is as follows, foe every push the rest button you get a corresponding number on the display, but it seems for every 1 its 10000km
I suspect when you reset yours you left it at 6
If I were you I would try the procedure again and leave it at 9 this time, but just remember that at 300 000km you need to replace your belt, in case you dont get the reminder
