SFA - availability of parts

Post by Leto »

I have been looking to buy a good condition SFA but have been warned off by more than one 4x 4 enthusiast on the grounds that spare parts have become impossible to find -- particularly body parts.
Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

I updated your profile to reflect your country of residence. :winkx:

Parts may be an issue in NZ and your SFA specs may vary from ours in RSA. Do you know what motor it has?

I don't know about RSA but parts particularly body parts aren't difficult to get at all in Botswana. The Toyota dealerships sell most parts. Others, like the 4Y mechanical distributor are a bit difficult to find at the dealership but can be found easily in spares shops like Motovac.

Hallo Martin (MCW)

But, you can replace them 21 times before you've reached the Stealer's price for one set.

But still even new the pirate one does not look so good as the original Toyota one
