Vigo auto door lock
Hi All,
My 2014 Vigo does not have the auto door lock at 25 km/hr.
Toyota tell me my vehicle does not have that option and they are not able to install that function.
Any ideas?
thanks
Ronnie

Re: Vigo auto door lock
You'll need to look into an aftermarket alarm system. That'd be the easiest and probably the cheapest way

Thanks Luke,
I hear what you say but feel that in this age of computers Toyota should be able to upload some software into the system. From a safety point of view it should be a standard feature on all models.

Re: Vigo auto door lock
my 2012 also doesn't have it but I'm so used to locking the doors with the button when I get in it doesn't even bother me anymore.

Re: Vigo auto door lock
Toyota removed the feature from 2011 on wards. Apparently it was a safety issue...

Re: Vigo auto door lock
Make it part of your start-up routine - similar to putting on your safety belt. After a while you do the whole process automatically.
Luke. Unfortunately here in SA it is not regarded as a pain in the ass (or anywhere else) but rather a necessity.

Necessity for what! Making sure your hostages don't bail out the door!

Luke.
You obviously have no idea what is going on in South Africa in terms of the levels of crime, vehicle hijackings and robberies.

Hi Luke
Mars is just realistic, its very real for us to think and react they way we do in South Africa, and more so if you drive a Hilux or Fortuner.
