Auto Start problem Auris D4D
My 2010 Auris 2.0 D4D has one of them automatic button start functions.
How does the system know when to release the button after the engine started?
Mine now has a problem, when it is cold, the started does not let go, it runs with the engine after it started.
I do not know where to start looking for the problem. Is there a sensor which tells the system when the engine is running which then cuts the power to the starter, or does it compare the speed of engine with speed of starter?... or is it maybe a sticky bendix?
It only does it when I start it first thing in the morning, or if we used the vehicle during the day and it was standing until 17h00 and then start again for the first time. When hot there is absolutely no problem.

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D

Of moet ek 'n potlood fynmaak?

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D
Ek sou eerste begin soek vir 'n "meganiese" fout.

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D
Baie dankie.

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D
Dankie, maar in my geval word dit , lyk my, nie weggevat nie.

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D
Hy maak steeds so.

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D

Re: Auto Start problem Auris D4D

When you let go of the clutch the starter is supposed to stop swinging.

Thank you Nishan, the clutch tip works like a charm.
Started it this morning, starter runs with engine, leave the clutch, starter switch off and release immediately.
