What Why
I need something that can tow a boat that is just under 2 tons. She can tow it but I fear she is not going to last that long.
I will rather let her go to a good home.

Believe me if I say this whole thing is causing me sleepless nights.I thought about the 7m motor, but I would like to keep her original. She is running so nicely now.I do not want to butcher her.She can tow the boat on a straight road but it is that hills that puts her down. She was built for running freely.

Don’t worry guys. All is not lost yet. Let’s hope EFI is a solution. Time will tell.
Me and Rich will do a test and we will see what the results are.
I am from Slaapstad so I am allowed to take time with my decision.
Obviously I will have to look at the $$$$ factor. I have already overspent on her and do not want to be in a situation where I spent more and it can not do the job. So hopefully whatever I decide it will be a calculate risk.

Can someone delete this thread now? Every time I see it I feel guilty.

Niel, the GWM's parts although, similar as the Toyota's they tend to be a bit different and also some of the parts are very expensive!!! :o:

The stock ECU cannot be modified and adjusted to suit offroad applications as the Dictator, thus it is in fact really better and more affordable to go the EFI route like the one Bennie did on Bulldog, mine and Richard's Hilux......

I used a GWM to EFi Louis Lux but prefer the original Toyota intake system. The GWM uses a Boch ECU at R10K+ IIRC and those ECU are a bit unrefined.

I drove in one and Sheila with her carb will drive circles around it.
