Hi all,
I have a niggling sound coming from the front end of my Hilux that I hope someone can help me with. It seems to only occur when I pull off under load e.g. Uphill
It sounds like rattling pans/pots and can only be heard for a few seconds until I change up into 2nd gear. I have a 2001 IFS 2.7i with no other problems.
Any ideas??
Much appreciated

Re: Abnormal sound when pulling off from 1st gear
Have the engine mounts checked out properly. They could be buggered or on the way out, allowing the motor to tilt too far when pulling off under load. This could be resulting in something fouling against the body or body-mounted components. Check the inside of the radiator fan cowling ... could be that the fan is fouling against it.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Pots and pans you say? Perhaps you packed your camping gear the wrong end? - Agree with Andy.
