Dual battery in a Vigo question.
How have the 'slim' ouens routed their cable between cranking battery up front & aux battery in the back?
I was thinking of inside chassis rail down passenger side and over rear cross member to battery on driver's side at the back.
Also, what fuses are best to put in?

I use a NL power pack / battery box with my V6.
I ran the cable from the cranking battery, around the fuse box along the finder on the RHS using existing wiring to the firewall then down to the chassis and along the top of it to the bin.
To get power into the bin, I used a channel between the skins of the bin that is open to the top of the bin under the lip at the top. I hate drilling into the beastie.
I have attached some photos. Hope this helps

Re: Dual battery in a Vigo question.
Thanks Paul. I like the 'double skin - channel' route on the bin.
Not too worried about drilling holes in it as it's a mates truck........in fact, I'm looking for any excuse to drill holes in it!
What did you use to fuse the cable?

I used the inline fuse from a Jurgens Xplorer caravan, its re-settable :)
it looks like a fuse from a car sound install, but with a switch on the top

Re: Dual battery in a Vigo question.
As per mcw, I used a NL fuse box, mounted as close to the cranking battery as possible. I mounted it on the side of the vehicle fuse box, as per the pic.zepplin wrote:Thanks Paul. I like the 'double skin - channel' route on the bin.

I also prefer to have them as close to the battery as possible, at both ends!
Thanks for the pics Paul.

I use the trip switches that 4x4 direct sells, i run the cables underneath the body on top of the chassis and into the RR taillight well, you don't have to drill any holes except for one right behind the tail lamp inside the loadbox to fit the Brad Harrison plug
