3 Weeks!!!

Post by WayneSchalk »

:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

5 Weeks to go to our Bots/Namibia trip, :celebrate: dit voel so lekker om te weet dit kom neer op so 25 werks dae vir my daan is ek op die lang pad!

6 mense in 3 karre, een sleepwa en 6000km om te toer :yahoo:

Getting the tuna "ready" has been fun, and still not done :?

Lots of toying with the dual system, but I am convinced it is at its optimal configuration now (I still have to share the pics of the power box I built, as soon as I get it back form my toppie who hijacked it).

The roofrack is already on, (just have to sort out that bolt that snapped off). SWAMBO will be camping this weekend at Vaal dam to give it her approval

My buddy will be the lone ranger in his BT-50, thanks to SAC his fuel consumption is better, and we managed to pick up a RTT for him last week for a good price. Its only a 4x2 so lets see how it goes....

My toppie will be towing his trailer, but hey it survived me rolling it.... so I am sure it will do just fine on the roads of Namibia
He added a 2nd solar-panel to top up is 2 x 105Ahr batteries, and also fitted an extra water tank in the Hilux.

I did not want to book any accommodation, but was suggested to do so for Torra Bay and Tiger Reef at Swakop, and I also booked a night at Ngepi camp. :yahoo:

So that is all paid up, and I have got some Pulas lying around. Things are coming together very fast, and so we are getting the last things together, Malaria tablets, mozzie repelant, sunblock, foods that we can take across from here and so on.

To say I am exited does not put it in perspective :celebrate: :yahoo:

hahah, with all the weight in the back and my weight, the tuna was at an angle where it was standing, so instead of closing the tent and awning I jacked it up to level it out.

Boer maak 'n plan

Trip report.... of course it will be posted on this forum firs!

I am actually leaving today to Durban for a boat cruise to Portuguese islands, BUT my December trip takes priority, I am not even exited to go, I'd rather spend the weekend at home and fiddle on the fortuner

But duty calls, I have to go and entertain my dealers :drinks:
