Hi All,
We are looking at going to KNP mid September and I was wondering if has anybody recently done the N1 - R525 stretch through Tshipise to the Pafuri Gate of the KNP? I would like to know about the road condition, speed limits (i.e is it as bad as the road to the Punda Maria Gate) and traffic other than vehicles (Cows, goats, free range children etc...)

Vriend van my ry die pad gereeld. Hy se die pad is glad nie sleg nie, daar is net 1 slegte gedeelte, res is ok, hou maar altyd oog oop vir beeste en donkies, spoedgrens is 120km/h

Hi All,
A little late, but I would like to report that this rout is the ONLY way I will going to the Kruger from now on. 120 from JHB to about 20kms from the Pafuri gate where there is a small detour because a bridge has washed away. Then back up to 80 to the park. Great road with very little traffic and the road is in a very good condition.
