Re: zero appliance
Absorbtion fridge. As Neil said, it has to be level for it to work. Finicky, but when they work they work well. You might have to turn it upside down or shake it about if it does not work, and then try again.

Re: zero appliance
I also had one.
Excellent little fridges. Good on gas and 220v.
I use to travel with it on 12v, but then it it's just cool, not cold, due to the fact that it is constantly moving and not perfectly level.
After 16 years it is still working fine.

zero appliance
Hi Martin,
Ni so vinnig soos die nuwe yskaste. Maar hy vries water kliphard as hy eers koud is (koudste setting). As ek so loer na nuwe yskas pryse gaan ek myne nog laaaank hou...
Geniet hom.

Re: zero appliance
I used mine in while towing my caravan with it switched on, it seemed to work even better when in motion. Guess all the bouncing around helped the gases to flow. You might have suffered a voltage drop at the element thus leading to lower efficiency, think they were quite hefty at around 100W or so.I use to travel with it on 12v, but then it it's just cool, not cold, due to the fact that it is constantly moving and not perfectly level.

Had 2x70L Zero Deepfreezes. Work very well. Just don't leave it connected to your vehicle battery when engine not running as it will flatten the battery in next to no time...
