Quantum Ambulance - 500 000km
Hi!
I thought I'd share this here! A private ambulance service in SA based in NC, is using 1 of many Toyota Quantum's as ambulances, this particular one has the D-4D motor and is still going strong with just over 500 000km on the clock! Serviced at Toyota at the required intervals!
With my experience in the emergency services, ambulances (and other emergency vehicles) are pushed to their limits daily to save lives. This goes to show that a well maintained vehicle can go a long long way!! Well done TOYOTA!!

Pardon my ignorance. So some quantum models use the D4D engine? Is this why the hilux is a target for thieves?

(probably one of the best reasons to get a 2,5 ... not as sought after as taxi parts ..)

At our work, the installation team's also drive a 2.5D4D. I think the only issue was a front collapse on the suspension due to the factory fitted bull bar. Over 200 000km so far.
