9th Nov Zone 7 AAWDC fun day

So less than 2 weeks to go. Planning committee, have been working their butts off in the past few weeks pulling it all together. Had some awesome help last weekend at the track from fellow members No, we don't have a team taking part, but it would be great if we had tons of Hilux supporters on the day. Entrance is R30 for adults and R15 for children for spectators. There will be lucky draws for spectators and participants. We will probably also need a couple of members on the day to assist. If you have some proudly Hilux 4x4 clothing wear that....

So please let us know who will be available on the day to assist, and also, who is going to come and enjoy the day with us....

So one more week to go for the event. Phew, can't wait for the email traffic on my inbox to get back to normal..... Planning committee meeting tonight, Thursday night planning committee meeting to do final goodies, at the track Friday to get the obstacles pegged and setup, Saturday D.Day, and after that life gets back to normal..... The Hoppy guest house, will no longer have to accommodate me nearly as much as they had to with all my sleepovers after meetings, you can get your spare room back..

Actually I'm looking forward to the day (not sure, if that's to get it over and done with, or because it is the coming to fruition of all the effort)..... A bit more admin and then a lot more me time...

So there's still time for those of you undecided about attending, to think about it, and we will see you there. Let's make it a Proudly Hilux 4x4 day, because we have the best 4x4's by far.......

Me.... I'm going to camp, that sounds brilliant, much closer to the venue.....

Have you already booked the site? Shall I bring the 4x4 trailer so we have a kitchen and everything, or shall I just throw the malamoo tent in my Hilux. We going to be at the Zone 7 most of the time, so not sure whether I need to bring the trailer.... Pieter what do you suggest?

I already booked 2 sites, not sure how many are allowed on one site.
I am now gona camp there on Thursday and Friday evening.
If the trailer makes your life easier bring it along, no problem

Was just thinking we going to be at Zone 7 most of the time, and not sure about security at the campsite, so maybe just a little tent, also easier to pack up and leave when we finished...

Gumboots, and hopefully a non leaking malamoo tent..

So anymore campers on Friday night???? Maybe some of you joining us on Saturday want to camp Friday and Saturday night? There are campsites booked for Friday, will just have to add saturday if you keen to stay till Sunday..

Times for Saturday. Vehicles assemble at 7.00 am. We'll be there sometime before then. Some of the teams can only setup the morning before the event, so they probably going to be there between 5.30-6.00 am.

But only for the Friday Arvie Club... who didnt win the trophy as they predicted...

Thanks to all the guys and girls who organised, this was an all-star performance! We had compliments and congratulations from some of the old hands in the business who have organised many of these events before. They were impressed! I ask that the rest of the club members please give the organising committee and all their helpers a huge round of applause!!!
