There are only a few days left before we go to Zone 7 for the day to drive the course and plan for the AAWDC fun day on the 9th November, surely there are other Hilux 4x4 Capetonian club members that are going to join us on Saturday. I think there is currie cup semi-finals on sat, and I think it may be Stormers against Lions, and if you worried about Stormers not beating the Lions don't, because you can't change the result anyway, unless you're playing in the game. You can watch the re-run or bring along a mini tv or radio to listen to the game. All hands on deck.

Hoppy there was talk about a braai at Zone 7. What should we bring along for the day? Our drinks and braai meat etc... Are there braai drums etc, or must we take that along? Can you give us some idea about the breakdown for the day?

Thanks Guys, for another one of those amazing hilux get together days. Thanks to all of you for always just being the greatest around. Yip I have a few pics, but still have'nt had a chance to get a new CF card reader, will see if I can get one tomorrow and post some pics. Just want to add that Fred from the AAWDC was really impressed to see the huge turnout of guys for the day. We divided into 4 teams and each team was responsible for laying out 2 obstacles. We were done pretty quickly which meant there was more than enough time to braai and then test the obstacles. Thanks Mr Hoppy for bringing it all together and for the rest of the committee for their commitment and getting the job done. And for all the 'hands on deck' that were there to help us move through the planning and laying out so brilliantly. Oom Pieter and Georgie had me on there team, not that I was any good to them, except for driving the obstacle to test it.

Tiaan I have a poster for you, so will drop it off at your work for you sometime...

To the hilux guys whether, they drive a jeep or hilux's

RESPECT to a great team !!

3 years ago I assisted with prepping for the interclub event.

2 years ago I assisted at Melkbos with the prepping.

In both instances the prepping was a full day event.

I thought I would show up "nice and early" and get a braai going for the people slogging away at setting up the obstacles .... Imagine my surprize when I saw the braai fires half way done !!

A BIG thank-you for everyone that helped, even Fred(mr. AAWDC) was impressed with our enthusiasm and the turn-out, he helped with planning and i think he would have stayed for the braai if he didn't have other plans.
