my 85 lux
Hi
Heres my first car and probably the best in the family, i have twin bros with mini's, which one has fitted a turbo.
the other brother has a corola, my dad has a 93 landy ( second 4x4 best to mine) and my mum has a 2x4 hilux.
my hilux is an 85 with a stock 4y and a 2inch lift kit. i want to have a gas conversion put on it soon because being a student i need to save as much as i can on fuel. if u can think of any good mods that wont make it unreliable just let me know.

Re: my 85 lux
It's still brand new!! My '87 SFA (Bulldog) has 310,000kms on the clock now. Replaced the engine at 303,000k's. Motor was still running, but had started to use oil and had a bit of piston slap.

Hi Cool Lux. Get yourself a Toyota 4Y Integrated dizzy with Coil in Cap. Much more relaible as it is electronic ignition and since the coil is in the dizzy there is less change of the engine dying due to wate.r

Re: my 85 lux
yeah its something about the wheel arches and the bonnet the way they just flow.
also what sounds better, a stock generic carby for $325 or a 34adf weber for $430
the webber is fully re manufactured for the 4y so it bolts straight on and has been jetted and dyno tested.
u guys use 32/36dgv but here done under we use the bigger 34adf, apparently there really good.

Welcome and well done, at 124k she's still very "young at heart" :D
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
