Not aproblem at all

What Lux you got?

Front you should be able to use normal rated recovery hooks availible from 4x4 Megaworld. I am sure we can ask Louis to bring a few along should you want. Louis can confirm the price.

If it is IFS then I am sure we can make a plan. Just tel me what van you have.

Ive got a 2007 Single Cab 2.5 D4D SRX 4x4. It's actually capable of going anywhere, so I'm pretty sure we wont need the recovery points anyway! :D: If there are standard recovery points one could buy, that would be first prise! 4x4 Megaworld have them available?

Bel vir Louis by 4x4Megaworld in Menlyn op 012 348 0826 en vra vir hom wat kan mens daar doen en of hy sommer standaarde recovery punte het. Hy kan dan vir jou sommer saambring Saterdag.

What recovery points do they want at the back. My cruiser only has a towbar at the back.

Not sure... if you don't have recovery points at the back, don't fred too much. It just means that they will have to do your recoveries and you might loose 10 points. You just do the obstacle last so we can recover you to the front should something go wrong then we don't loose time :D:

A big big big big big big... no huge thank you for each and everyone who joined us on the day. From the guys who marshalled to all the drivers and navigators.

It was awesome to share the field of battle with you. We unfortunately did not take top honours but came in at no5. We we're lying 3rd (as I understand it) most of the day but do to an error or two from myself and running out of time at the closing obstacles we drop down to 5th. Our best driver of the day was Johan (Legend35).

Riana piloted their vehicle with Francisco screaming....er... sitting in the passenger seat. The reason I mention this is just to tell you that she as a lady driver were the only driver of the day, that is about 100 vehicles, to get full points on our own obstacle.

We should have taken the team spirit award but unfortunately the team making the most noise seamed to have won this. And as we were in diminished numbers could not compete, although we gave them an excellent run for their money, with the huge crowds in the other teams. But we were the only team dressed for the occasion as each of us wore a nice a shinny hat and beautiful oversized bow-tie. Each and every vehicle also had a huge bow tie on. A huge thank you for Riana, Francisco and your team in preparing all these for us for the occasion.

Also a huge thank you to Pieter and 4x4Direct for sponsoring our shirts. We wore it with pride and appreciate the efforts you did to get them to us on time and the personal touched on the shirts.

We also thank our sponsor, Global Steel, for sponsoring our obstacle.

Then lastly, a huge thank you to all who assisted in clearing our obstacle after all was done and dusted.

I unfortunately did not get time to take any pictures as I was running around, shouting my voice away and having fun. I'm sure some of the other guys will share some of theirs  I did get to take these few pics of our obstacle, obstacle no9 (or what was left) at the end of the day.

Well done guys and gals!!!

I'm pretty impressed by your performance!

I've seem pics on some other forums and it looks like the Hilux was very well represented by some other clubs aswell.

Keeping in mind some clubs have in excess of 37 000 members, I really think a 5th place is brilliant!

BUT it was suposed to be a fun day, right?

morniing gents and ladies
well saterday was once again a huge hilux 4x4 club success.

this was also the first outing i had with my whole familly along
yes , 4 of us in the shorty , wife (anje) , zaine (5_ and zoe (18months) .

to all that were involved , participants , marshals , our sponsor - global steel sa , piet for our team shirts and goodies - big thumbs up and thanks.

on arrival , i was again nominated to run the as team captain (a honor again - thanks for the vote ) for the day (jeep leading the hilux's)
we had a couple of late withdrawls (drivers) but quickly made up a full team.

although we didnt perform as well as expected ,only securing a 4th overall , i AM PROUD to be part of this team.
we made a couple of rookie mistakes , but i suppose thats part and parcel of competition
im sure we will be back next year in full force to better our standing once again.

RAFS was our only lady driver , and she did well. (scored 100 full points on our own obstacle) .
Cassie won the 1st raffle draw prize - well done on that sunshine
congrats to johan - legend 35 topping the points as our best driver for the day
congrats to werner - maniac 4x4 holding up the scoreboard from the bottom

as team captain - to my fellow club members /drivers/navi's /marshals - thank you for the privelage to be part of this club and team

i will ask cassie to post the spread sheet with scores achieved on the day

we as a club , arrived , participated , WERE NOTICED and achieved - we made our mark.

Well what an amazing weekend. Cassie and Shaun summed it up quite nicely but from my side I would like to say thanks to each and every one who helped out.

Cassie and the guys who went out the previous weekends to go and set up our obstacle. Awesome job and well done.

A big thanks to our sponsors – Pieter (4x4Direct) for the shirts, Global Steel SA for the obstacle sponsorship of R5 000.00, Hilux4x4 Club for the banners, droppers, signage etc.

Huge thanks to the marshals on the day. I know it was a tough job. Big thanks to POTE whom I called late on Friday and asked if he could assist. He gave up his morning even though he was leaving early the afternoon.

Thanks to Riana and my sis for the props we all wore. We stood out. Thanks for the time you took in making the bowties.
Thanks to all the competitors. It was awesome being part of such a wonderful team. We helped the Hilux Club name high. Well done guys and girls.

Now we can start planning our next competition.

I think this year we (Hilux Club) came to the party and showed what we are made of (RFAD, EFS and now AAWDC) and made ourselves noticed as n huge contender in the sport we all enjoy and that we are here to stay. Well done to all and everyone.

Thanks all Ali3n, Rafs for the outfits, we looked smart! Pieter 4x4Direct for the shirts, Global Steel, IISarge doing an excellent job in Navigating for me and all the marshals for putting in their time, money and effort!

We had a great team spirit and although we made rookie mistakes I think we can learn from them and improve for next year. We learned that communication is very important and I unfortunately came last for our team due to disqualification on the one obstacle on outside influence. Even though I had loads of fun and was quite bushed yesterday... So needed much RR and some Zzzz's.
