A big big big big big
big... no
huge thank you for each and everyone who joined us on the day. From the guys who marshalled to all the drivers and navigators.
It was awesome to share the field of battle with you. We unfortunately did not take top honours but came in at no5. We we're lying 3rd (as I understand it) most of the day but do to an error or two from myself and running out of time at the closing obstacles we drop down to 5th. Our best driver of the day was Johan (Legend35).
Riana piloted their vehicle with Francisco screaming....er... sitting in the passenger seat. The reason I mention this is just to tell you that she as a lady driver were the only driver of the day, that is about 100 vehicles, to get full points on our own obstacle.
We should have taken the team spirit award but unfortunately the team making the most noise seamed to have won this. And as we were in diminished numbers could not compete, although we gave them an excellent run for their money, with the huge crowds in the other teams. But we were the only team dressed for the occasion as each of us wore a nice a shinny hat and beautiful oversized bow-tie. Each and every vehicle also had a huge bow tie on. A huge thank you for Riana, Francisco and your team in preparing all these for us for the occasion.
Also a huge thank you to Pieter and 4x4Direct for sponsoring our shirts. We wore it with pride and appreciate the efforts you did to get them to us on time and the personal touched on the shirts.
We also thank our sponsor, Global Steel, for sponsoring our obstacle.
Then lastly, a huge thank you to all who assisted in clearing our obstacle after all was done and dusted.
I unfortunately did not get time to take any pictures as I was running around, shouting my voice away and having fun. I'm sure some of the other guys will share some of theirs
I did get to take these few pics of our obstacle, obstacle no9 (or what was left) at the end of the day.
