Was planning on a surprise guest appearance tomorrow but I leave at 5am with a client to go do a quote on his farm.

well sunday after the fundi , a couple of us die hards went back to the club to play.
saw a nissan on 2 occasions using a winch to be rovered
i asked wimpie from LTX club ,
1. if they come as standard equipment on the nissan's ?
2. was he trained in the use of them or was it due to personal experience
cant post either of his answers

Re: AAWDC - Fun day Gauteng - 17 August 2013 - Gerotek
Ek gaan so 15:30 op die laaste moet ry by Gerotek.

Re: AAWDC - Fun day Gauteng - 17 August 2013 - Gerotek
Okay boys and girls... it's almost that time.
Below is a list of what every vehicle will be scrutinised on. If you don't have any of these (the first part of the list) you cannot compete. The second part of the list will be done as obstacle 11. It's bonus points (easy points) and will be judged by ORMU marshal roaming between obstacle (think at one of the rest points). If you have all those items, you get 100 points.
Just on that first point: Operational safety belts and roll cage..... all vehicles have to have operational safety belts but only the open top vehicles need rollcages
Here is the schedule for the day, I am going to try and be there at 5am already to start putting up banners etc before scrutineering starts.

Dankie vir die lys. Ek weet nog nie of iemand in my plek gaan kan ry nie so ek sal alles pak soos op die lys en hoop die dag maak vroeer klaar as op die program. Soos ek gese het ek moet so 15:00 se kan ry.

I only have a problem with 2 items on the second check list:
1). I can use my high lift jack as I don't have my rear bumper on and a bull bar front, but I have a small trolley jack inside vehicle??????
2). I don't have any recovery gear.
Advise.

Just take the high-lift with maybe they will overlook it. And secondly, I have a bottle jack which you could use as well if the trolley jack won't cut it.werewolf wrote:HiCasKru wrote:Okay boys and girls... it's almost that time.

I have 2 shackles and a pair of gloves (thick welding type gloves, is that ok), but no strap.CasKru wrote:Just take the high-lift with maybe they will overlook it. And secondly, I have a bottle jack which you could use as well if the trolley jack won't cut it.werewolf wrote:HiCasKru wrote:Okay boys and girls... it's almost that time.
I only have a problem with 2 items on the second check list:
1). I can use my high lift jack as I don't have my rear bumper on and a bull bar front, but I have a small trolley jack inside vehicle??????
2). I don't have any recovery gear.
Advise.
Do you have any shackles or gloves? Do you just short the strap?

Obstacle 11 will be ORRU guys roaming and at one of the rest areas, ask each vehicle to show them those items and then be scored accordingly.

Re: AAWDC - Fun day Gauteng - 17 August 2013 - Gerotek
Full entry for the competitors was paid by the club and was refunded by the competitors so no need to pay the club. However the competitors you guys are replacing have paid the club back thus the decission lies with the ex-competitor if you should refund him.Gunta wrote:Has it been paid or must I still pay?
With that being said, the competitor you are replacing will now also be removed from the gate entry list and your name will be added. That means that should the person who withdrew be availible to assist as in the case of Jaans he would have to pay entry of R25pp at the gate before being allowed entrance. That means that he would have paid R150 plus gate entry. You will pay nothing.
Louis (4x4Megaworld) replaced ForYota - Foryota must say if he wants a refund if he has paid the club R150
You replaced Jaans - Jaans must say if he wants a refund if he has paid the club R150.
Note to ALL - Please dont forget your R170 for the props for our TEAM SPIRIT.

Dit is reg so.
