Re: Forum slow / no response
This is an early warning to all forum addicts
Within the next two weeks we will be moving the forum to a new, faster and hopefully more reliable server.
We will first migrate all files and test on the new server, once everything is fine we will switch over to the new server. This might cause the site to be off for half a day or maybe a day.
I warn you before the time so that you can look for other ways to keep yourself busy during the migration time. I know it is hard to think of anything else to do, but google is your friend.
Please don't let your wife know the forum will be down because they have the tendency to think of all kinds of jobs in and around the house to do.
I will warn everybody closer to the time and if possible we will try and schedule the switch over to a weekend.

Sorry I had the wrong time, you have 2 more hours to browse. The migration will start 10PM UK time, which is 00h00 our time and I am definitely not going to stay up to see if everything is working, I will rather get up early tomorrow morning.

Definitely faster. Not so much the loading speed (although I think it is a bit faster), but the response is way better .... doesn't sit there and hang for a few seconds before it starts loading the next page. Cool!

I have sent and received numerous PM's this morning and had only one problem. Andy can you please tell us what problem you have?
One PM I sent, the recipient received the notification but PM was not in his inbox, but I think that was during the migration, this I posted the PM on one server and he had to read it on the new server, lost between the two
Besides that I have not seen any problems

I also hate those code things. Dont know why they cannot just rather use a simple question and answer scenario, like "what is the best 4x4?"

Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
