What a brilliant day and event... Just busy going through the photo's to load some.. A really challenging day for all the competitors, lots of bits broken off and on vehicles on the day. Steep inclines and declines, very tight turns, better suited to the shorter vehicles, and mud, the guys and girls had their metal tested... Well done to all the entrants for a hard days driving... Hoppy tied in first place with points scored, and there was some formula to calculate a 1st and 2nd place and Hoppy got second place in the end.

Well done Allan!!  (We all know who should have been given first place .... they probably included the fact that you drive a Hilux as an 'unfair advantage' in their 'tie-break formula'! ). Lovely pics Val! ... looks like an enjoyable outing with a few anxious moments in places! Awesome!!

Andy, Allan actually used the wrong exit point at one of the obstacles, so lost all his points on that obstacle. He would have been quite well ahead otherwise... But must say all entrants worked very hard on the day. I thought it was a tough challenge..

Thanks for the pics & support Val & everyone that braved the "weather", the weatherman was wrong again, we had no rain!
It was a tough one and i made a few silly mistakes, one in particular where i took the wrong exit gate, my co- driver had a stomach bug and didn't walk all the obstacles like he usually does and i was to lazy, so it's my own fault.
We use a negative score sheet, so at the end of the day the one that makes the least mistakes wins, it's just bad luck if the score is even and you lose by a count-out.

Some more photo's of Dino... Not sure which obstacle it was but he snapped an axle, but it was replaced immediately and ready to go by the next obstacle.. As I said the obstacles were tough and the vehicles took a beating...
