What size would you choose between 1,22m(48") & 1,5m(60") and the reason why.

Bigger is better but.... make sure the extra length is not going to be in your way. When deciding where to mount my high lift jack I sometimes wish I had a shorter jack

For those with Hi Lift jacks, how many times did you find that a 1,2m would have been to short?

You don't need to use the extra length if you don't need it, but if you need it & you don't have it, then you will be sorry.
When your suspension just keeps travelling & you can't get the wheels off the ground, then you will be sorry that you even asked this question. This can happen especially in running water & soft sand or mud.

That's what I'm thinking too... rather have it and not need it.
The same goes for getting the Hi-Lift jacks as apposed to going the cheaper route and then the thing doesn't work when you need it!

At iWarehuse the shorter one(1,22m) is R70 more expensive than the 1,5m. R1129 for the 1,5m and R 1199 for the 1,22m

Luckily I know what a Hi-lift jack is, but if you had just read this forum on another peace of paper you would have had a complete different idea...

You need the 1,5m for the day that you need to lift your vehicle or winch your vehicle by 1,3m.

Believe me I have used it a couple of times to nearly full extent. And I have hurt my hand with it rather badly as well.

I have a long one, and I have never used it to its full extent. It is a female dog to pack bcause of the length so I dismanteled it and since then it was never used again. That was 7 years ago... I always ended up making a different plan. Now I am actually looking for a short track to swop for the long one.. :beg: :beg:

So my vote goes for the shorter one..

Because at 1.2 meters the wheels are hardly off the ground
I have a 1.5 but cut off about 10cm to fit it dwars on the canopy
1.2 is too short
