Re: radiator help
I believe the guys use a BMW 740 radiator for the Lexus conversion... and yes.. you have to modify brackets etc

Re: radiator help
I don't know which radiator will be best, but the guys that have done these conversions should be able to advise. Otherwise go to Silverton Radiators and ask them what you can fit ... they will give you costs at the same time.

Re: radiator help
The KZTE works best, you don't have to modify the bodywork and you can use your existing holes.
They are about R1200 00 new

spot on, this is one of the choices for The lexus V8 conversions
self have alredy fitted my one, even though my lexus V8 is still on the engine stand
also fitted a golf water bottle, and used the bmw original rubber mounting to mount and made my own brackets to fit
think me should have some pics of the bracket on the laptop, at home
will look and post pics

Re: radiator help
a bit slow these days
however better late then never
please dont look at all the oil
oil leek has since been fixed
and it difficult to weld down there, and was welding stainless cups for the rubber mounting to the brackets, and the rubber in the cup is an original from bmw, and yes the rubber was out when I was welding
bracket with a cut out for the shape of the golf water bottle
top brackets, again to fit in the groves on the radiator, again onto the original bmw rubber supports
hope to have some pics of the whole set up
then due to space, the water bottle is on one side of the vehicle, and the water pump for the V6 is on the other side, and hence had a T-piece made to allow water from the water bottle into the suction of water into the water pump, sad to saw that I have seen some mix up of pipes, and people subsequently having overheating issues
yes did end up with a few extra joints and possibility for further issues however so far its been great
here it was complete
as a result of that water bottle on the other side, ran a copper pipe along the chassis cross member, protected by a rubber hose that has been cut open
this is where it feeds into the pipe that feeds the water pump, had the T-piece custom made of copper
the pipe again going across the cross member, please excuse the oil, its all gone now
the thermal switch mounter
the electric fan mounted
hope this helps decide, or helps someone do the bmw 740/540 radiator conversion

Re: radiator help
It may work well, but I don't like opening a Toyota bonnet and see Golf bottles and BMW radiators, custom made brackets, foreign pipes etc.
The KZTE radiator fits drilling 4 holes into the radiator flange and none into the Hilux.
If a Toyota needs attention, most of the parts must be obtainable from the Toyota agents, there is always exeptions, like my WL conversions, but even there i use Toyota parts as far as i can.
