Can anyone tell me what the offiial height for my bakkie should be? 2006 D4D 3.0D4D 4x2
Several times I have been stopped at a robot and another Lux pulls up next to me an it definitely looks way higher than mine, now I have always put it down to it being 4x4, but this morning and identical model to mine stopped next to me, 2.7VVTi, and same story, it looked a lot higher, are my eyes deceiving me? Or is it just from the angle I am looking at it?
From where to where does the height get measured?

Re: Bakkie Height
I have the same issue with mine, also looked like they're bakkies is higher than mine. One day I had a closer look at a parking with a Lux parked next to mine. I know mine had spacers in but looked lower than the other one parked next to me. I had a look at his coils and there where no spacers. So it must the eyes deceiving us.

There are two types of Hi lux Vehicles.
You get your normal Hi lux and then there is a RAISED BODY hi lux.
The Raised Body is slightly higher than the other.

How do I know if mine is raised body?? I thought all the 3.0D4D models were Raised bodies?
Mark - my next tyres will definitely be 265's

All of them are the same height, as mentioned already, the tyres and rim sizes affect the height easily by 50mm....Mikie wrote:KPC wrote:There are two types of Hi lux Vehicles.

Fair enough, but is it possible there could be sagging on the front springs and rear leaf springs? I dont know maybe due to being over loaded earlier in its working life?
